Who We Are
Today's world is getting more interesting, all the time. It's certainly not the one I grew up in. Maybe you've noticed that, too.
We have some fine folks moving into our area . . . so far. I have a feeling that our demographics may shift away from the small farmers, veterans, back-to-the-landers and retired LEO's, to a less savory group as the cities and economy deteriorate.
I hope I'm wrong. Really, really, wrong.
In case I'm not, I'm acting upon the Little Voice that has been guiding me since 1970, and am creating this site on New Year's Eve, 2017. LV says that all I've done, all I've learned, has brought me to where I am now, and the same is true for my neighbors. Among us all, we have encyclopedic knowledge, skills, resources and abilities. Together, we can not only survive, but thrive. Apart, we are at the mercy of whatever dark clouds may roll over the HooDoo.
Today, knocking on your neighbor's door and saying this kinda stuff isn't often the best way to start a relationship. So, perhaps you've "seen the signs", in more ways than one. This is an invitation to meet up with neighbors of like mind. We'll become familiar with a very effective, efficient and affordable (basic equipment: $30) communications method that utilizes hand-held FRS "walkie-talkies", GMRS, MURS, and HAM radios to keep each other informed, assisted, protected and defended.

The national CH3 (Channel Three) project is the brainchild of John Jacob Schmidt and is how AmRRON started. It incorporates the non-licensed bands of CB, FRS, and MURS radio services in with a nationwide communications network, connecting Ham radio operators with non-Hams. Today, this project is linking volunteers in heroic life-saving situations nationwide during hurricanes, floods and fires. Membership is FREE, and may save your life!
